ABOUT ME

PSYCHOLOGIST

Dana is compassionate and authentic in her approach, providing genuine psychological support as individuals navigate through their own unique and personal challenges. She focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients by providing an open, honest and safe space.

 

Dana works collaboratively with clients to assist them in expanding their insight and cope with difficult situations. She takes a client-centered and integrative approach  guided by evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Therapy.

 

Dana also uses the Strengthen Social and Emotional Wellbeing model and Mental Health First Aid for First Nations People when working with Indigenous People of Australia.

EXPERIENCE

Dana has experience working with a range of mental health issues across an individual’s life from adolescence through to adulthood. From her experience working in multidisciplinary teams, Dana has developed a holistic approach to mental health working collaboratively with all practitioners involved in her clients care.

 

Dana’s history working with the Youth Enhance Support Service (YESS) has provided her with specialised experience working with young people and families with complex mental health presentations.
